Aryan Khan’s The Ba**ds Of Bollywood* Wins Praise

Aryan Khan’s directorial debut The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is just hours away from release, but some stars already got an early look at the first episode during a special screening hosted by Shah Rukh Khan and Netflix in Mumbai. The first reactions are in, and everyone is praising Aryan’s work and the show’s spoofy, fun tone.

First reactions

The show is a quirky take on the Hindi film industry, following the journey of two young actors—Aasmaan, an outsider, and Karishma, a star kid.

Filmmaker Rahul Dholakia, who directed Shah Rukh in Raees, shared his review on X. He wrote that the show is “entertaining and spoofy goofy” and added, “Bhai binge karna padega!” He also congratulated Aryan, the writers, and Aryan’s parents, Shah Rukh and Gauri Khan, calling it a project full of hard work and creativity.

Sunita Gowariker, wife of filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, also shared her thoughts. Posting a picture with Aryan, she wrote, “Dear Aryan, kudos for making such an amazing, entertaining, funny series. You have outdone yourself. Wishing you success always!”

About the show

The Ba**ds of Bollywood* stars Lakshya and Sahher Bambba in the lead roles, with Bobby Deol, Mona Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and Manish Chaudhari in important roles. The series also includes special cameos by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, and Karan Johar.

The show will stream on Netflix from September 18.
