Heer Express Review – Cozy Outside, Hollow Inside

Punjabi families, big emotions, and a journey from Punjab to London – Heer Express tries to bring all of this together. But the problem is, we’ve seen this story many times before in films like Jab We Met and Queen. The movie feels warm and nice at times, but it also feels too safe and predictable.

The story mixes family drama with the “outsider in a new place” theme. While this should create excitement, the film doesn’t bring anything new and mostly stays on a predictable track.

Performances:
Divita Juneja is the highlight of the movie. She’s natural, sincere, and gives the film its heart. Prit Kamani and Ashutosh Rana do well in their roles, while Sanjay Mishra and Gulshan Grover add small but memorable touches. Audiences will likely like the lead’s warmth even if the story feels weak.

Where it falls short:
The screenplay is plain and full of clichés. Emotional scenes don’t hit hard, and the comedy feels forced. The pacing drags in parts, and many twists feel outdated.

Technical side:
The film looks neat but nothing special. Cinematography is okay, and the music is pleasant but forgettable. With such a familiar story, the film needed either a strong script or striking visuals, but it has neither.

Final verdict:
Heer Express is a clean, simple film with a good lead performance and a few sweet moments. But it’s not memorable because it plays too safe. If you enjoy family dramas and just want a light, feel-good movie, this one can work. Go in with low expectations and you might come out smiling.
