Lokah: Chapter 1: Chandra has become one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest hits. Released on August 28, this superhero fantasy film impressed audiences with its strong story, powerful action, stunning graphics, and gripping screenplay. Even after 30 days, it continues to shine in theaters.
Fans were excited about its OTT release, with buzz suggesting it would arrive in the first week of October. However, producer Dulquer Salmaan cleared the air on September 25. He said the film will not release on OTT anytime soon and asked fans not to believe rumors. Dulquer told audiences to wait for the official announcement from the team.
On its 30th day, Lokah collected ₹70 lakh net in India, with its fourth-week total reaching ₹13.2 crore. So far, the film has earned ₹142.02 crore net in India.
Globally, Lokah: Chapter 1 has made an impressive ₹281.50 crore in 28 days. The film has now surpassed L2 Empuran and is aiming for the records of War 2.
Made on a budget of ₹30 crore, the film was written and directed by Dominic Arun. It is India’s first female superhero film, and audiences have showered it with love.
