Tiger Shroff is back as Ronnie in his hit action series Baaghi. The new film, Baaghi 4, is releasing in theatres this Friday, but the advance booking numbers are not very strong.
By Thursday afternoon, the movie sold 1.27 lakh tickets across India, making around ₹3 crore for day one. Reports show only 4–7% occupancy in major cities, which is considered a dull start. Overseas bookings are also slow, as most people seem to be waiting for reviews before buying tickets.
Since Baaghi 4 is a big action film and a sequel, it is expected to see a strong weekend, but the weak pre-sales could affect its long-term run.
For comparison, War 2 made ₹20 crore in advance booking for day one, while even Saiyaara, a romantic film with newcomers, collected ₹9.40 crore. Baaghi 4 is far behind both.
Directed by A Harsha, the film stars Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, Sonam Bajwa, Shreyas Talpade, and more. Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, it will hit theatres on September 5
