Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa’s romantic drama Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is doing great at the box office. The film is getting strong support from fans and good word of mouth, helping it grow even in its second week.
The movie has now crossed ₹100 crore worldwide in just 12 days, making it one of the biggest romantic hits of the year.
The film has earned around ₹66 crore nett in India, which becomes ₹80 crore gross. The makers shared that it collected ₹86.1 crore gross in India and ₹15 crore overseas, taking the total to ₹101 crore worldwide.
Trade experts say the actual figure might be slightly lower, but it will cross ₹100 crore very soon.
This year has seen many romantic hits, and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has now passed films like Param Sundari and Bhool Chuk Maaf in lifetime box office earnings.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film released on Diwali. It started slowly but picked up speed because of strong audience love. Along with Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa, the film also stars Shaad Randhawa, Sachin Khedekar, and Ananth Narayan Mahadevan.
The movie is still running in cinemas and continues to attract viewers.
