Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi are back together in Jolly LLB 3, the latest part of the popular courtroom drama series. The film released in theatres on September 19 and is expected to do well, though experts feel it may not match the success of Jolly LLB 2.
Before release, the film collected ₹3.23 crore in advance bookings, selling over 1.2 lakh tickets. This is a good start for a courtroom drama. Trade experts believe that such films usually see bigger collections from spot bookings on the release day.
By 2 PM on Friday, Jolly LLB 3 had already earned ₹2.20 crore net across India. Experts predict the film will earn between ₹11-12 crore on its first day. This would be higher than Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par (₹10.70 crore opening) but still less than Jolly LLB 2, which made ₹13.20 crore on day one.
Positive reviews and good social media response are working in favor of the film. If it continues strong, it could target around ₹50 crore in its opening weekend.
In this movie, Akshay’s character, Jagdishwar “Jolly” Mishra, defends a powerful political leader accused of land-grabbing. On the other side, Arshad Warsi’s Jagdish “Jolly” Tyagi fights for the villagers. The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Huma Qureshi, Amrita Rao, Gajraj Rao, and Seema Biswas.
