Kanguva: The Man with the Power of Fire is an upcoming Indian fantasy action film. The story follows Kanguva (Suriya), a powerful warrior with supernatural abilities, who battles fierce enemies across two different timelines. Filming
Filming started in August 2022 and took 17 months, finishing in January 2024. It was shot in various locations, including Chennai, Goa, Kerala, Kodaikanal, and Rajahmundry, with extensive visual effects and action scenes. Suriya appears in 13 different looks, a new record for him.

Production
The film was announced in April 2019 but faced delays due to the pandemic and other commitments. It was relaunched in August 2022 as “Suriya 42.” With a budget of ₹300–350 crore, it’s one of the most expensive Indian films ever made.

Release Date and Teaser
Kanguva is set to release in late 2024 in standard, 3D, and IMAX formats. The teaser, released on March 19, 2024, and the trailer, released on August 12, 2024, were praised for their visuals and action.
