Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, had a decent start at the box office. The historical courtroom drama got good reviews and positive word of mouth, which helped the movie earn more over the weekend.
According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film has earned more than ₹29 crore in three days. On its third day, Kesari Chapter 2 collected ₹12.25 crore, as per early estimates. On the first day, it made ₹7.75 crore, and on the second day, it grew to ₹9.75 crore. Now, the total collection stands at ₹29.75 crore.
However, when compared to Akshay’s earlier movie Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2 is still behind. Sky Force made ₹27.50 crore just on its third day and had a big opening weekend total of ₹61.75 crore.
In Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar plays real-life lawyer C Sankaran Nair, who fights the British government to bring out the truth about the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. R Madhavan plays Advocate Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill.
