Mahavatar Narsimha ₹326 Cr, Hits 8X Budget

Animated film Mahavatar Narsimha has made history in India! Traditionally, animated movies in India don’t earn much, but this film has earned ₹326 crore worldwide, 8 times its ₹40 crore budget. It has beaten Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, and Hrithik Roshan at the box office.

The film, directed by Ashwin Kumar in his debut, is a mythological epic and was released in Hindi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam. In India, it earned ₹250 crore net, with the Hindi version alone making ₹188 crore. Internationally, it added around $3 million, taking the total to ₹326 crore.

Mahavatar Narsimha also outperformed War 2 and Sitaare Zameen Par, proving that animated films can be huge hits in India.
