They Call Him OG, starring Pawan Kalyan, opened with a massive roar at the box office. The action-packed gangster drama lived up to the hype, making it one of the biggest Telugu film openers ever.
On its release day, the film collected ₹70.75 crore net in India and around ₹91 crore net including premiere shows. With advance bookings crossing ₹98 crore gross, it broke records even before release. Early estimates suggest the movie earned ₹100 crore gross in India and nearly ₹150 crore worldwide on Day 1, making it Pawan Kalyan’s biggest opener yet.
Film trade analyst Sumit Kadel gave it 3.5 stars, calling it a “monstrous start” with record-breaking previews and overseas numbers.
Directed by Sujeeth and produced by DVV Danayya under DVV Entertainment, the film mixes powerful action, sharp storytelling, and strong performances. Fans are calling it a superhit start for Pawan Kalyan in 2025.
