The movie Saiyaara is creating magic at the box office. Directed by Mohit Suri, the film has become a huge hit in just four days. It earned ₹151 crore worldwide by Monday, surprising everyone with such a big opening weekend.
In India, Saiyaara collected ₹108 crore net (₹128 crore gross) in 4 days. Even on Monday, it made ₹24 crore, which is just a 33% drop from Sunday’s ₹35.75 crore.
In overseas markets, it earned ₹23 crore (around $2.6 million), taking the total to ₹151 crore. With this, Saiyaara has beaten the lifetime collections of Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 (₹144 crore) and Sky Force (₹146 crore).
One of the biggest achievements for Saiyaara is that it has now passed the worldwide collection of Aashiqui 2, which made ₹110 crore in 2013. Both films are romantic dramas directed by Mohit Suri, and fans have often compared them.
Saiyaara marks the debut of Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Ahaan plays Krish Kapoor, a young singer, and Aneet plays Vaani Batra, a journalist who becomes a lyricist.
