For Aryan Khan, The Ba**ds of Bollywood* is his first project as a director. But the cast says he never felt like a beginner. Lakshya and Sahher Bambba, the stars of the show, shared their thoughts about Aryan’s hard work and style.
The show is a fun take on Bollywood, with Lakshya playing a rising star, Aasmaan Singh. Lakshya says, “It didn’t feel like his first show. He knew exactly what he wanted. Aryan was writing the show 2–3 years before we joined. Even after long shoots, he would edit at night without sleeping. He hasn’t done anything else for the past 5 years. Imagine how much dedication he has!”
Sahher, who plays Karishma Talwar, adds, “He didn’t take a single day off. Even when he wasn’t on set, he was working on the background music. He was always fully focused.”
The show also features big names like Bobby Deol, Raghav Juyal, Anya Singh, Manoj Pahwa, Mona Singh, Rajat Bedi, Gautami Kapoor, and Manish Chaudhari. Bollywood stars like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan, Karan Johar, Ranbir Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Janhvi Kapoor appear in cameo roles.
The Ba**ds of Bollywood* releases on Netflix on 18 September.
