The new season of Doctor Who is here! Starting this Saturday, April 12, new episodes will stream every week on Disney+ (worldwide) and on the BBC (UK). There will be 8 episodes in total.

Who’s Returning?
Ncuti Gatwa is back as the Doctor.
Millie Gibson returns as Ruby Sunday (in a smaller role).
The new main companion is Belinda Chandra, played by Varada Sethu.
Each episode has its own story, but there’s also a bigger plot running through the season.
Fans are especially excited about:
“The Interstellar Song Contest” – a fun parody of Eurovision, but in space!
“The Robot Revolution” – which might touch on real-life tech and AI themes.
“The Reality War” – sounds like a big, action-packed finale.
What Season Number Is This?
That’s a bit tricky.
If you count from the original 1960s show: it’s Season 41.
If you count from the 2005 reboot: it’s Season 15.
But the showrunner, Russell T Davies, calls it Season 2 for the new era.
Let’s just call it the new season of Doctor Who. And it all starts April 12!
