“GG Precinct” (Chinese: 正港分局) is a Taiwanese crime comedy series that serves as a spin-off to the 2022 supernatural comedy film Marry My Dead Body. The story follows the eccentric GG Precinct squad as they investigate a series of mysterious murders, with clues linked to Chinese idioms. The blend of crime-solving and comedy promises a unique and engaging viewing experience.

Filming
Principal photography began in November 2022, with key scenes shot at the Taipei City Police Department Headquarters. Filming wrapped up before the theatrical release of Marry My Dead Body and moved into post-production by May 2023.

The idea for “GG Precinct” was conceived by director Cheng Wei-hao during the filming of Marry My Dead Body. The project was greenlit and received funding in November 2022. Initially planned for eight episodes, the series was trimmed down to six. The scriptwriting and filming occurred simultaneously due to a tight production schedule, ensuring the series would meet its 2024 release date.
