Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man – Release, Plot & Cast

Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will hit select theaters from November 26, 2025 for two weeks, and it will stream on Netflix globally from December 12, 2025.

Plot:
The story moves from Greece to upstate New York, inside a small Catholic church. A mysterious murder happens when Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin) is found dead inside a sealed concrete box during a sermon. Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) teams up with Father Jud (Josh O’Connor) to solve this “locked-room” mystery. The suspects include the church’s key members, doctors, lawyers, and locals, each hiding secrets.

Director Rian Johnson was inspired by Agatha Christie, Edgar Allan Poe, and classic “impossible crime” stories, making this one of Blanc’s trickiest cases yet.
