Netflix is bringing a new cooking reality show, Next Gen Chef, produced by LeBron James’ SpringHill Company. Filming took place from June to August 2025 at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
The show will test aspiring chefs on the essential skills needed to become future stars in the culinary world. Contestants will compete for a cash prize and a trophy. The project is co-produced by Alfred Street Industries (producers of Is It Cake?) and Artifactual Media, a part of UltraBoom Media.
Netflix already has several cooking shows like Cook at All Costs, The Final Table, Pressure Cooker, and Baking Impossible. Next Gen Chef adds another exciting series to its growing lineup of cooking competitions.
The show’s casting page went live in April 2024, inviting chefs to test their skills and see if they have what it takes to win. Netflix will share more details once the series is officially unveiled.
