Ever since the news broke that Liam Hemsworth would replace Henry Cavill as Geralt, fans have been waiting to see how the series would look. Now, Netflix has finally shared the first teaser along with the release date.
The Witcher Season 4 will release on October 30, 2025, with all 8 episodes dropping on the same day.
The teaser shows Geralt (Liam Hemsworth) fighting a deadly wraith, a ghostly spirit. His sword doesn’t work, so he uses Witcher magic — first Aard to push it back, then Yrden to trap it. When that fails, Geralt destroys the spirit by crushing its glowing core, making it vanish into dust.
While some fans were impressed with Liam’s look and performance, many admitted they still miss Henry Cavill. One fan joked, “Liam looks like his brother — it’s like Thor in the Continent!” Another said, “This show without Henry is like Pirates of the Caribbean without Johnny Depp.”
Others felt Liam did a good job in the teaser, saying he looked strong as Geralt, and the music and direction also added to the vibe.
Along with Liam Hemsworth, the new season will also feature Anya Chalotra, Freya Allan, Joey Batey, Laurence Fishburne, Eamon Farren, Anna Shaffer, Mimî M Khayisa, and Cassie Clare.
