Christopher Abbott recently spoke about his lead role in the Ireland-set thriller Bring Them Down. Playing a farmer in rural Ireland, Abbott faced challenges like learning an Irish accent and speaking as Gaeilge.
Speaking from New Zealand, where he is filming Netflix’s upcoming East of Eden, Abbott shared his excitement for the series. Based on John Steinbeck’s novel, the show follows the Trask family saga from the perspective of Cathy Ames, played by Florence Pugh. The cast also includes Ciarán Hinds, Mike Faist, and more.
Abbott praised Hinds, saying, “We have a lot of scenes together, and I love that man.” He also called the series “beautiful” and expressed admiration for the talented cast.
When asked about his role in Ann Lee, Abbott remained tight-lipped but shared his happiness for the film’s directors, Brady Corbet and Mona Fastvold, who recently found success with The Brutalist.
