Raj & DK On Rakt Bramhand: It’s Not Shelved

There were rumors that Raj & DK’s upcoming Netflix series Rakt Bramhand – The Bloody Kingdom, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Aditya Roy Kapur, had been shelved. But now, the makers have cleared the air and confirmed that the show is very much happening.

In a statement, Raj & DK said, “Rakt Bramhand is a big, epic project that’s being shot in different phases. We’ve finished most of the indoor scenes and are now getting ready for a big outdoor action shoot.”

Reports earlier claimed the show was canceled due to financial fraud during production. Production had stopped for a while, which added to the rumours. However, Raj & DK explained that they are just waiting for better weather to shoot outdoor scenes. “We need lush greenery for the next part of the shoot, so we’re waiting for the rains to pass,” they said.

The series features a big star cast including Ali Fazal and Wamiqa Gabbi, along with Samantha and Aditya. Set in a mythical kingdom, the show will mix action and intense drama, and is expected to stream on Netflix in 2026.

Earlier this year, the creators had also denied rumors about this show and Gulkanda Tales being shelved. They posted online saying both shows, along with The Family Man 3, are still in progress.
