The Royals: Ishaan-Bhumi Magic!

The much-awaited trailer of Netflix’s new series The Royals is finally out! Fans are already loving it. Starring Ishaan Khatter, Bhumi Pednekar, Zeenat Aman, Nora Fatehi, and Sakshi Tanwar, the series shows the story of Morpur’s royal family. Once very rich and powerful, the family is now drowning in debt.

The Royals will start streaming on Netflix from May 9.

Storyline

The trailer shows Ishaan Khatter as Aviraj Singh, a polo-playing prince ready to take charge after the death of the Maharaj (played by Milind Soman). Bhumi Pednekar plays Sophia Kanmani Shekhar, a strong businesswoman who dreams big.
The two come together to turn Morpur’s old royal palace into a luxury hotel. As they work together, their egos clash, leading to romance, fights, and a lot of drama.

It’s a battle between a royal and a commoner!

As soon as the trailer dropped, fans flooded social media with love. One fan said, “Can’t wait to watch Ishaan in that royal look!” Another commented, “Bhumi is giving total boss vibes.”
Fans also praised Zeenat Aman and Nora Fatehi for their stunning looks and powerful presence.

Ishaan said he had a lot of fun playing Aviraj Singh, calling him “the most frustratingly charming character” he has played so far.
Bhumi shared that playing Sophia felt special because she’s “fierce, ambitious, and emotionally honest” — qualities Bhumi loves.
