K-drama fans, get ready! Netflix has announced its new series Typhoon Family, starring Lee Jun Ho and Kim Min Ha. The show will premiere on October 11, 2025, and run until November 30, 2025. It will have 16 episodes, each about an hour long.
The drama is set during the 1997 IMF crisis in South Korea. It follows Kang Tae Pung (Lee Jun Ho), the CEO of Typhoon Company. After his father’s death, Tae Pung struggles to save the company that meant everything to his father, while also trying to protect his family. The story is about love, survival, and resilience during tough times.
With its mix of family drama, business struggles, and history, Typhoon Family promises to be emotional and nostalgic. Directed by Lee Na Jung, it is expected to be one of the top K-dramas of 2025.
