Akshay Cried After Paresh Quit Hera Pheri 3: Priyadarshan

Bollywood fans were shocked when Paresh Rawal announced that he was leaving Hera Pheri 3. In a recent interview, director Priyadarshan revealed that actor Akshay Kumar got emotional and had tears in his eyes after hearing the news.

Paresh Rawal said he didn’t have any creative issues with the makers but didn’t feel connected to the role anymore. He shared that Priyadarshan did try to change his mind. However, Priyadarshan later said he didn’t stop Paresh because the actor never spoke to him directly. Instead, Paresh texted him saying, “Please don’t call me. This is my decision.” He added that he still respects Priyadarshan and wants to work with him again in the future.

Priyadarshan also denied any rumours about creative clashes. He said Akshay has always respected the director’s vision and never tried to cut anyone’s role. The director shared that the trio — Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh — had recently shot a promo together, and Akshay had even bought the rights to the franchise after they all agreed to do the film.

Akshay was heartbroken and reportedly asked Priyadarshan, “Why is Paresh doing this to us?” Priyadarshan said Akshay shouldn’t face financial losses just because Paresh left the film suddenly.

Following the exit, Akshay’s production company, Cape of Good Films, has filed a ₹25 crore lawsuit against Paresh Rawal. The legal team claims that Paresh accepted the signing amount and allowed the shoot to begin, then suddenly backed out.

Fans are disappointed and feel the movie won’t be the same without Paresh Rawal playing Baburao, one of the most loved comedy characters in Bollywood.
