Actor Celina Jaitly has spoken out strongly against some Pakistani artists after India launched Operation Sindoor, a strike against terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir. She criticized stars like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Hania Aamir for not speaking up against terrorism while benefiting from the Indian entertainment industry.
In a recent interview, Celina said, “India must always come first. Pakistani artists gain fame and success in our industry but stay silent about the terrorism supported by their government. They have big platforms to speak up but choose not to. Until they show real action against terrorism, India must draw clear lines.”
Celina added that silence from such celebrities during difficult times is hurtful. She said, “Patriotism isn’t just for show; it’s about standing up when your country needs you. Our soldiers risk their lives, and our industry should stand united with them. True love for the nation is shown in times of pain and struggle.”
As tensions rise between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack, which killed 26 people, the Indian government has ordered OTT platforms to stop showing content made in Pakistan. This includes songs, series, movies, and podcasts.
Celina, whose family has a strong background in the Indian armed forces, said it’s important for public figures to show courage and stand with their nation in such times.
