Actor Dia Mirza has reacted strongly after the CBI filed its closure reports related to the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. Taking to Instagram Stories, Dia asked if the media will now apologise to Rhea Chakraborty and her family. She pointed out that the media caused “deep pain and harassment” to Rhea just for TV ratings.
Dia wrote, “Who in the media will have the grace to put out a written apology to Rhea Chakraborty and her family? You went on a witch hunt. You caused deep anguish and harassment just for TRPs. Apologise. That’s the very least you can do.”
The CBI closed two cases — one filed by Sushant’s father KK Singh accusing Rhea of abetment to suicide and money laundering, and the other by Rhea against Sushant’s sisters, claiming they gave him wrong medicines.
The CBI, after a long investigation, found no proof that anyone forced Sushant to take his own life. They also rejected theories of poisoning or strangling. The courts will now decide if the report will be accepted or if more investigation is needed.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Mumbai home on June 14, 2020. He was 34 years old. His postmortem report confirmed that he died due to asphyxia.
