After the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, tensions between India and Pakistan have grown. In the middle of this, Indian singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is facing backlash for working with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in his upcoming film Sardaar Ji 3.
The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE), led by President BN Tiwari, has strongly criticized Diljit and called for a ban on all his future projects.
BN Tiwari said that Diljit’s collaboration with a Pakistani actor has hurt Indian sentiments and disrespected the sacrifices of Indian soldiers. He also questioned Diljit’s loyalty, saying it’s wrong to give work to Pakistani artists when there are so many Indian talents.
FWICE claimed they had already sent a letter to the makers asking for a response but received no reply. Now, they are planning to issue a formal letter and are banning all upcoming projects involving Diljit and the producers of Sardaar Ji 3.
Tiwari also said that the movie is not releasing in India for now and will only be shown overseas, but if the team tries to release it in India, they will block it completely.
