Javed Akhtar Predicts Aamir Khan’s Film Will Be A Super Hit!

At a press conference, veteran writer Javed Akhtar made a strong prediction about Aamir Khan’s upcoming movie. He said, “I know I’m taking a big risk, but I’ve done it before and been right. I was the one who said Aamir would be a superstar. I also predicted Amitabh Bachchan’s comeback after many flops. Today, I am saying that Aamir’s next film will connect with everyone and be a big hit.”

Aamir’s Unique Choices

Akhtar praised Aamir for choosing different types of films, unlike some Bollywood legends who stuck to one style. He also credited Aamir’s mentor, Nasir Hussain, for shaping stars like Dev Anand and Shammi Kapoor.

He revealed that he once advised Aamir not to do Lagaan. “I told him not to do it and even made a list of reasons why it wouldn’t work. But Aamir used that list to improve the script. In the end, I gave up because Aamir was determined. When I saw the first cut, I was amazed.”

Aamir’s Bold Film Choices

Akhtar also praised Aamir for backing films like Taare Zameen Par and Dangal, which most actors wouldn’t have dared to do. “People don’t make films like Taare Zameen Par. No one else would have done Dangal—playing an old man who loses to his daughter in wrestling. Aamir takes risks no one else does.”

He added, “Aamir worked with director Ashutosh Gowariker again, even after a flop. Most actors work with hit directors. But Aamir takes chances.”

Aamir and Javed Akhtar’s Connection

Akhtar also shared his personal connection with Aamir. He wrote Aamir’s first film, and his son, Farhan Akhtar, directed Dil Chahta Hai, which had Aamir in the lead role. “Aamir was waiting for my call after rejecting Farhan’s script. When I didn’t call, he realized Farhan truly believed in the story.”

With Javed Akhtar’s strong support, all eyes are now on Aamir Khan’s next movie.
