The much-loved show Panchayat returned with Season 4 on June 24 on Prime Video. Within just one week, it became the biggest opening ever in the show’s history. Fans across 180+ countries watched the new season, and it even trended in the Top 10 list in 42 countries, including the USA, UK, Australia, and Canada. In India, it stayed at the #1 position.
After this huge success, Amazon Prime Video officially confirmed that Panchayat Season 5 is on the way and will release in 2026. The announcement on Instagram said, “Hi 5 👋 Phulera wapas aane ki taiyyaari shuru kar lijiye,” hinting that the journey back to the village of Phulera is about to begin again.
Prime Video’s content head Manish Menghani shared that the team is happy with the love Season 4 received.
Vijay Koshy, President of The Viral Fever (TVF), said that the show’s success is because of its honest storytelling about rural India. He thanked the fans, the cast, and the crew for making Panchayat such a special journey.
