Parth Samthaan has surprised everyone by joining the iconic TV show CID. He is playing ACP Ayushman, a new character, after the famous ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam. His entry has left the internet divided, with fans having mixed reactions.
Recently, Parth shared a video from the sets of CID and wrote an emotional message. He said being part of CID was never part of his plan, but it feels like a blessing. Parth is returning to TV after five years and said that CID was a big part of his childhood.
In his post, he wrote,
“Introducing ACP Ayushman in the most iconic, loved, and longest-running show – CID! This show has always been a big part of our childhood. The dialogues and the characters like ACP Pradyuman, Daya, and Abhijeet have become legends. I feel blessed to be part of this journey.”
Parth also shared that life always takes him on unexpected paths. Just like his previous shows Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan and Kasautii Zindagii Kay, he said he never plans things but ends up making memories.
Earlier, Parth had revealed that he first rejected the role because he felt strange about replacing such a legendary character. He was also unsure about senior actors calling him ‘sir’ on screen. But after thinking again, he accepted the role.
Talking about his character, Parth shared that ACP Ayushman will be investigating the murder of ACP Pradyuman and solving new cases. He made it clear that his character will not copy the original ACP Pradyuman, and will bring a new style.
Fans are now excited to watch the fresh twist in CID with Parth Samthaan stepping into a brand-new role!
