“RIP Manoj Kumar: Akshay, Karan Recall His Impact”

Bollywood is mourning the death of legendary actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar. Many stars like Akshay Kumar, Karan Johar, Jackie Shroff, Madhur Bhandarkar, and Vivek Agnihotri paid heartfelt tributes, remembering his strong impact on Indian cinema and patriotism.

Akshay Kumar said he learned the value of love and pride for the country from Manoj Kumar. He shared, “I grew up learning from him that there’s no emotion like love and pride for our country. If actors don’t show this, then who will? He was a fine person and one of the biggest assets of our industry. RIP Manoj Sir. Om Shanti.”

Manoj Kumar had once called Akshay his “successor” in portraying patriotism on screen.

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri remembered him as a true nationalist and a proud Hindu. He called Manoj Kumar a visionary who gave Indian cinema a new style — mixing powerful songs, strong messages, and love for the country without being loud.

Director Karan Johar also shared a childhood memory of watching a rough cut of Kranti. He said the film later made history, and Manoj Kumar’s passion and talent will always be remembered.

Jackie Shroff paid tribute with a folded hand and heartbreak emoji. Director Madhur Bhandarkar shared old photos and wrote how Manoj Kumar’s work inspired national pride for generations.
