Actor Salman Khan posted a tweet on X (formerly Twitter) after India and Pakistan announced a ceasefire. He wrote, “Thank God for the ceasefire…”. However, he deleted the tweet shortly after facing criticism from fans who questioned why he didn’t say anything about India’s Operation Sindoor.
Some users asked, “Why is there no tweet about Operation Sindoor?” Others said he ignored the Indian Army’s action against terrorists in Pakistan. Operation Sindoor was launched after the Pahalgam attack that killed 26 people. It targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan.
After deleting the tweet, one of Salman’s fans defended him, saying, “He deleted it because news came that Pakistan violated the ceasefire right after his post.”
Earlier, Salman had posted after the Pahalgam attack, saying, “Kashmir, heaven on planet earth, turning into hell. Innocent people being targeted, my heart goes out to their families.”
Meanwhile, other Bollywood stars like Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar, and Raveena Tandon reacted to the ceasefire positively. Kareena wrote “Rab Rakha” and “Jai Hind” on her Instagram story.
