Seven movies announced with Disney+Hotstar Multiplex.

Disney+Hotstar has always been ahead in the game of OTT and provided the audience with exclusive and interesting content always. Keeping up with this trend, it announced the release of some movies directly on the OTT platform like Laxmmi Bomb and Sadak 2 but that is not all. Disney+Hotstar went ahead and announced its multiplex with the slate of 7 movie release on its list- Dil Bechara, Laxmmi Bomb, Sadak 2, Bhuj: The Pride of India, The Big bull, Lootcase and Khuda Haafiz. This announcement has created a stir among the users and we are all roaring with joy on this news.

The first movie of this list is Dil Bechara which is also the last movie of Sushant Singh Rajput will be going live on the 24th of July. Hotstar is making the exception of making the movie available to non-subscribers as well to honour the legacy of the late actor. Other movies which are Abhishek Bachchan starrer- The Big Bull, Vidyut Jammwal’s Khuda Haafiz, Lootcase featuring Kunal Kemu and Rasika Dugal are set to release between the months of July to October 2020. The new initiative of ‘First Day First Show ki Home Delivery’ started by Hotstar is an aim to bring back the feeling of movie theaters right to you TV screen.

Uday Shankar, President, The Walt Disney Company APAC and Chairman, Star & Disney India, said, as the team launches Disney+ Hotstar Multiplex today, they are set to make a revolutionary change by bringing the biggest Bollywood movies directly to millions across the country: “Theatres are a special experience. So, they will always exist and thrive. But the potential of the industry can’t be capped by the number of release windows and theatres available.”

“Our initiative will dramatically increase the number of films that can be made, giving film-lovers more films to enjoy and the creative community more films to make. We firmly believe that this will generate a massive momentum for more and different kinds of films to be made in India. It’s a win-win for all,” Shankar said. In these difficult times, it is important to come up with effective and new solutions to keep yourself strongly in the market and be on your front foot always. This move by Disney+Hotstar will go a long way in helping it emerge as a market leader.
