“Sunny Deol & SRK Reunite After 30 Years – Here’s Why”

Sunny Deol and Shah Rukh Khan had a famous fallout after their 1993 film Darr. They didn’t talk for many years, but now Sunny is ready to reunite with Shah Rukh on screen.

During a chat with Pinkvilla’s Masterclass, Sunny was asked who he would like to do a two-hero film with. He replied that he would love to do another film with Shah Rukh Khan. Sunny shared that the film industry has changed a lot, and directors no longer have full control over the story or characters like before. That’s why, he feels, this could be the right time for a new collaboration.

Sunny said, “I’ve done only one film with Shah Rukh. So, we can do another. It was a different time back then, and now it’s a new era.” He also pointed out that earlier, directors had full control, and stories used to match the image of actors. But now, that has changed.

What was the issue between Sunny and Shah Rukh?

The issue started with Darr in 1993. Sunny played the hero, and Shah Rukh played the villain. But Sunny was upset because Shah Rukh’s stalker character was shown in a more powerful and positive light. Sunny felt that the villain was glorified, while he, the hero, wasn’t given enough importance.

In an old interview on Aap Ki Adalat, Sunny said he didn’t expect the film to glorify the villain. He believes in working with trust, but not all actors do the same. Still, he admitted that both he and Shah Rukh were loved by fans in the movie.

Now, after 30 years, Sunny seems ready to let the past go and work with Shah Rukh again. Fans are already excited to see this iconic pair back together!
