Actor Vishal Jethwa, known for his role in Homebound, recently took his mother, Preeti Jethwa, to the Cannes Film Festival. It was a dream come true for him, as he always wanted to travel abroad with his mom.
Vishal shared sweet photos from their flight to France on Instagram. In the pictures, they are seen enjoying their journey — sipping drinks, watching movies, eating meals, and smiling together. One picture even shows Vishal kissing his mom on the cheek.
In a heartfelt caption, he wrote about his childhood dreams — flying on a plane, traveling abroad, and most importantly, taking his mom along for the ride. He said attending Cannes with her was the biggest joy of his life.
He thanked his fans for their constant love and support, saying none of this would’ve been possible without them.
Homebound is directed by Neeraj Ghaywan and stars Vishal Jethwa, Ishaan Khatter, and Janhvi Kapoor. It will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival in the Un Certain Regard section on May 21. The film is produced by Karan Johar and has Martin Scorsese as executive producer.
