Bollywood actor Zayed Khan, son of actor-director Sanjay Khan, recently shared how his family went through a very tough time in life. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Zayed revealed that his family faced a serious financial crisis after a huge fire broke out on the set of his father’s show The Sword of Tipu Sultan.
His father, Sanjay Khan, suffered third-degree burns in the accident. The fire also caused the family great emotional and financial pain. There was no insurance, and many people lost their lives in the fire. Zayed said their house was mortgaged, and they had to sell their cars to manage daily life. Sometimes, they even had to take autos and taxis.
Zayed praised his mother and sisters for staying strong during that time. He said seeing them in pain deeply affected him. He called his mother “God” and said she held the family together.
Zayed also shared that he once told his parents to send him to boarding school because his mother had too much on her plate. He remembered how proud he felt when he gave his first salary from his debut film to his mother.
