Emergency Movie – Kangana Ranaut

Emergency is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language biographical historical drama film directed and produced by Kangana Ranaut, from a screenplay by Ritesh Shah and story by Ranaut. Emergency film is billed as the story of a watershed moment in the political history of India. Based on the Indian Emergency, it stars Ranaut as former Prime Minister of India Indira Gandhi. The film also features Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, Mahima Chaudhary and Milind Soman in pivotal roles.

Principal photography commenced in July 2022 and ended in January 2023. It marks the posthumous film of Satish Kaushik following his death on 9 March 2023. The film was scheduled for a theatrical release on November 24, 2023, but it was postponed. But as of now it’s planned to release on 14^th of June, 2024.

In earlier interview Kangana said “Dear friends, I have an important announcement to make, Emergency movie is the culmination of my entire life’s learnings and earnings as an artist. Emergency is not just a film for me it’s a test of my worth and character as an individual. Tremendous response that our teaser and other units got from everyone encouraged us all”.
