Actor Huma Qureshi is back as Rani Bharti in the much-awaited Season 4 of the political drama series Maharani. The makers released the trailer on Thursday and confirmed that the show will premiere on SonyLIV on November 7, just as the Bihar Assembly Election takes place from November 6–11.
In the trailer, Rani meets the Prime Minister, who says he feels lonely. Rani points out how he isn’t really alone with all the agencies and commissions around.
Season 4 is directed by Puneet Prakash and created by Subhash Kapoor. SonyLIV’s official post reads: “The lioness returns to defend her home! Rani gears up for her biggest battle yet.”
The series is set in Bihar and explores political drama inspired by real events. Huma plays Rani Bharti and shares screen space with actors like Amit Sial, Vineet Kumar, Pramod Pathak, Kani Kusruti, Anuja Sathe, Sushil Pandey, Dibyendu Bhattacharya, and Sohum Shah.
Huma said in an interview that the success of the show on OTT platforms has given creators confidence in her work. She added that actors need opportunities to truly show their potential.
