The teaser for the upcoming superhero series Spider-Noir was leaked online just hours after Prime Video revealed its first poster. The show stars Nicolas Cage as a live-action Spider-Man Noir, a character he had earlier voiced in the Spider-Verse animated films.
The leaked teaser was quickly shared across fan pages on YouTube and social media, though Amazon began removing the clips due to copyright.
The teaser begins with a black-and-white city view and a voiceover saying, “Have you seen it? The city is a mess. The people could use a hero.” A spider crawls on the ground, and we get a glimpse of new characters. Then comes the action – Spider-Man fights off armed thugs with his bare hands. Nicolas Cage’s voice says, “I hope they find someone.” In the final shot, his eyes light up as a thug looks scared. The teaser ends with “Coming 2026.”
The entire series is in black and white to match its 1930s noir setting. Fans were quick to praise the look, calling it “Sin City meets Marvel.” One fan wrote, “It looks pretty good. The dialogue will be key, but what we heard so far sounds promising.” Others said the series could be something really special.
Earlier the same day, Prime Video shared the first official look of Nicolas Cage as Spider-Noir on Instagram. The post read: “Your first look at Spider-Noir, a new live-action series starring Nicolas Cage, coming 2026 in both black-and-white and colour.”
Spider-Noir is created by Oren Uziel and Steve Lightfoot. The story follows an older private detective and superhero in 1930s New York, dealing with his mysterious past. The series will stream on MGM+ in the US and Prime Video globally. It will have 8 episodes.
