The makers of Nishaanchi have dropped its trailer, and it promises to be a full-on Bollywood masala entertainer. Directed by Anurag Kashyap, the film has action, comedy, romance, betrayal, and the classic touch of ‘maa ka pyaar’. The movie also marks the Bollywood debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, grandson of Shiv Sena founder Bal Thackeray.
The film is set in the early 2000s in Uttar Pradesh. It brings back the flavor of that era with a mix of action, comedy, romance, and a nostalgic soundtrack.
Aaishvary plays a double role as twin brothers Babloo and Dabloo. Though they look alike, their personalities and values are very different. Their lives cross paths in a story filled with rebellion, family drama, and transformation.
The trailer is packed with chase sequences, intense confrontations, and tender romantic moments. The music takes you back to the early 2000s, giving the film a nostalgic vibe. Anurag Kashyap himself calls this his “most cinematic film” with everything audiences love—emotion, betrayal, and action.
Sharing his excitement, Aaishvary said that playing twins was both challenging and special. He also contributed to the film’s music, which he feels connects deeply with his personality. He expressed gratitude to Anurag Kashyap for guiding him through the journey.
Produced by Ajay Rai and Ranjan Singh under Jar Pictures and Flip Films, and presented by Amazon MGM Studios India, Nishaanchi also stars Vedika Pinto, Monika Panwar, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and Kumud Mishra. The movie will release in theatres on September 19
