Agastya Nanda’s Ikkis Delayed Due To Astrology, Not Dhurandhar
Sriram Raghavan’s war film Ikkis, starring Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda in his theatrical debut, has been postponed from December 25, 2025, to January 1, 2026. Many thought the delay was to avoid clashing with Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar or the Christmas release Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri, but Amitabh Bachchan hinted at a different reason—astrology.
Amitabh Speaks on the Delay
Amitabh shared a picture on X (formerly Twitter) holding a T-shirt with “Ikkis” on it while greeting fans. He wrote:
“Some astrologers say it is a good omen, let’s go, just let’s go!”
New Release Details
Produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, the film’s new poster teases Agastya’s role in the true story of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, Second Lt. Arun Khetarpal. The film also stars Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat.
The makers wrote:
“This New Year, gift yourself courage. Final #Ikkis trailer drops this weekend. A new chapter unfolds in legendary director Sriram Raghavan’s first war film. #Ikkis releases on 1st January 2026.”
