Fans Upset Seeing Priya Varrier As Extra In Param Sundari

Priya Prakash Varrier, who became famous with her viral wink in the Malayalam film Oru Adaar Love, was recently spotted as a background extra in Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor’s romantic comedy Param Sundari. Fans were shocked to see her in a small, non-speaking role and questioned why she accepted it.

In a video going viral on social media, Priya is seen in a red and white saree walking quietly behind Sidharth in one scene. This left many fans surprised. Some said it was unfair to cast her only as an extra in a film set in Kerala, while others felt she should have been chosen for Janhvi Kapoor’s lead role instead.

A few fans also guessed that maybe her bigger role was cut during editing. Reactions ranged from disappointment to anger, with comments like, “She deserves better,” and “Should’ve cast her instead of Janhvi.”

Directed by Tushar Jalota, Param Sundari features Sidharth as Param Sachdev and Janhvi as a Malayali girl, Sundari.

Priya, after her debut in Oru Adaar Love, went on to act in Malayalam, Telugu, and Hindi films. She made her Bollywood debut in Yaariyan 2 and was last seen in Ajith Kumar’s Tamil movie Good Bad Ugly. She will next be seen in 3 Monkeys and Love Hackers.
