Kohli’s 52nd Century Gets Big Love From Bollywood

Sunday was a big day for cricket fans. Team India won the first match against South Africa in Ranchi, thanks to Virat Kohli’s incredible 52nd ODI century. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul also helped with their half-centuries.

Kohli scored a brilliant 135 runs from 120 balls. His achievement—becoming the first player ever to score 52 international centuries across Tests, ODIs, and T20s—led to a flood of love on social media. Bollywood actors, cricketers, family members, and fans all celebrated him online.

Ranveer Singh posted a picture of Kohli, saying, “Sometimes a King has to remind you why he is a king.” Sanjay Kapoor wrote “Kohliiiii,” while Rajkummar Rao added “King Kohli #champion.” Pulkit Samrat called him the “Greatest ever of ODIs,” and Anil Kapoor also shared a tribute.

Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli, proudly wrote “Well well well 💪💪,” while his sister Bhawna shared photos from the match. Kohli had hit 11 fours and 6 sixes during his record knock.

Former and current cricketers also praised him. Yuzvendra Chahal wrote, “All bow to the King,” and Suresh Raina shared Kohli’s photo to celebrate his achievement.

Sunil Gavaskar also mentioned that even former Australian captain Ricky Ponting praised Kohli, calling him the best one-day player he has ever seen—something very rare coming from an Australian cricket legend.
