Rajkummar Rao: I’m Not The Face Of Bollywood

Actor Rajkummar Rao, who started his career in 2010 with Love Sex Aur Dhokha, has now completed 25 films. Known for acclaimed movies like Aligarh, Shahid, Newton, and Stree, he says he prefers living a quiet and private life rather than trying to represent the film industry.

When asked if he learned anything from the industry, Rajkummar said,
“No. I’m happy with my journey. I do my job, I love my work, and then I go home and live my life as Raj. I’m not a representative of Bollywood — I’m just an actor.”

Recently, he announced that he and his wife Patralekhaa are expecting their first child. He was last seen in the action film Maalik, surprising fans with a violent role for the first time.

Rajkummar believes the only thing that matters is doing good work and staying focused. “When you leave this world, people will only remember your work. Everything else is just noise,” he says.

Talking about action films, he explained that action has always been part of Indian cinema — from classics like Amar Akbar Anthony to Deewaar. He believes success depends on how good the film is, not the genre.
