Rani Mukerji Wins First National Award With Daughter Adira

Bollywood star Rani Mukerji has won her first National Award for Best Actress for her role in Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. The award was presented at a grand ceremony held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.

Rani made the moment even more special by wearing a gold necklace with her daughter Adira’s initials, showing that she kept her little one close to her heart while receiving the honour. She looked elegant in a brown Sabyasachi saree and was seen sitting beside Shah Rukh Khan during the event.

National Awards Ceremony Highlights

Many top names from the film industry attended the event, including Mohanlal, Ekta Kapoor, Karan Johar, Ronnie Screwvala, Anupama Chopra, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Guneet Monga, Meghna Gulzar, Vaibhavi Merchant, and Apoorva Mehta.

Rani won Best Actress, while Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey shared the Best Actor award. Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani also won the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment.

About Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway

The movie, directed by Ashima Chibber, is based on the real-life story of Sagarika Chakraborty, an Indian mother who fought a tough legal battle after her children were taken away by Norwegian child welfare services in 2011.
