Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl has announced its release on Netflix.

Jhanvi Kapoor’s is finally announcing her next movie and it is going directly on Netflix and wont hit the theaters. Following huge box office movies like Gulabo Sitabo, The Kargil Girl has also announced that it will not release in theatres and will be streamed on Netflix. This announcement was made on Tuesday. The movie is about the biopic of one of the first two women pilots in a combat zone. The release date of the movie is not yet announced officially.

Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is the true story about a woman who showed true courage and inspiration to many women to be a part of the Kargil team. Jhanvi Kapoor will be playing the lead role of Gunjan Saxena in the movie. The movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Angad Bedi, Viineet Kumar, Manav Vij and Ayesha Raza. Karan Johar has produced the film under Dharma Productions.

The movie is a story about dreams and aspirations and goes on to show the relationship of a father and daughter. Being the first women who went into the Kargil war, it has been the source of inspiration and hope for all. After Gunjan Saxena, there have been numerous pilots who have been women and it no longer a taboo. The story is inspiring and gives hope to all.
