Hari Hara Veera Mallu Review: Only Highs, No Heart

Hari Hara Veera Mallu Review: Only Highs, No Heart

Pawan Kalyan returns to the big screen as Veera Mallu, a larger-than-life hero who can do everything—fight, ride horses, steal jewels for the poor, and even control wild animals. But while the film tries to make him look like a superhero, the story fails to keep us interested.

Story Summary

Veera Mallu is a brave outlaw who fights against the Mughal empire, especially Emperor Aurangzeb (played by Bobby Deol). His mission starts with stealing the Koh-i-Noor diamond, but the plot quickly changes direction and becomes confusing.

At times, Veera looks like a version of Robin Hood, savizng people and standing for justice. But the film focuses too much on showing him as perfect in every scene, which becomes repetitive and tiring.

What Works

  • Pawan Kalyan puts effort into his role after a long time
  • MM Keeravaani’s music lifts some dull moments

What Doesn’t Work

  • Weak story and poor VFX
  • Too many hero moments, not enough real emotion
  • Bobby Deol’s villain role lacks power
  • Romantic track feels forced and boring
  • Everything feels like it’s shot in front of a green screen

Final Verdict

The film could have been a fun historical adventure. But instead, it turns into a movie with one hero-elevation scene after another, losing its charm along the way. Only the music stands out.
