120 Bahadur: First Pan-India Release In Defence Theatres

Excel Entertainment and Trigger Happy Studios are releasing their new film 120 Bahadur specially for Indian soldiers and their families. This war drama is now the first Indian movie to be shown in defence theatres across the country through PictureTime’s mobile cinema network.
The film will release worldwide on November 21, and the team says this move is a way to bring big-screen entertainment directly to the people who serve the nation in difficult locations.

A Historic Rollout

PictureTime, along with GenSync Brat Media, will screen the film in over 800 defence cinema halls across India. These theatres mainly serve soldiers and their families, especially in remote areas where regular movie theatres are not available.
The goal is simple: bring cinema to the soldiers instead of waiting for them to access it.

PictureTime’s CEO Sushil Chaudhary said this was overdue:
He shared that India has 1.5 million soldiers and a large veteran community, but only 30% have access to defence cinemas. With 120 Bahadur, they hope to reach the remaining 70% who don’t have this access.

Why This Release Matters

Excel Entertainment’s CEO, Vishal Ramchandani, said the team feels honoured that soldiers will be the first to watch the film.
“120 Bahadur celebrates the courage of our armed forces. We are grateful that the real heroes will watch it with their families,” he said.

About the Film

120 Bahadur is based on the Battle of Rezang La, one of the most iconic battles in Indian military history.
The film stars Farhan Akhtar, Raashii Khanna, Sparsh Walia, Vivan Bhatena, Dhanveer Singh, and others. Senior officers Ajinkya Deo and Eijaz Khan also appear in key roles.

The movie is directed by Razneesh ‘Razy’ Ghai and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and Amit Chandrra.

It releases in theatres on November 21.
