Krrish 4: Rakesh Roshan Talks Budget, Reveals Release Date

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan is ready to step into a new role—not just as a superhero, but also as a director for Krrish 4. Fans have been waiting for years, and now filmmaker Rakesh Roshan has shared big news about the film.
Rakesh revealed that the movie had been delayed because of budgeting issues, but that problem is now solved. He said, “The script didn’t take much time, but the budgeting was a challenge. Now that we know the final budget, we are starting work on the film.”
He also confirmed that Krrish 4 will start shooting in mid-2026 and is planned for a 2027 release. Since it’s a big-scale project, the team needs a long pre-production phase before filming begins.
Earlier this year, Rakesh Roshan announced on Instagram that Hrithik will direct the film. He wrote, “25 years ago, I launched you as an actor, and now after 25 years, I am launching you as a director along with Aditya Chopra. This is our most ambitious project.” The news surprised fans and added more excitement to the franchise.
Hrithik himself admitted that he feels nervous about becoming a director for the first time. At an event, he said, “I feel like I’m back in kindergarten. It’s a whole new way of learning again.”
About the Krrish franchise
The journey started with Koi… Mil Gaya (2003), introducing the lovable alien Jadoo. Then came Krrish (2006), where Hrithik became India’s first superhero, followed by Krrish 3 (2013), which was a huge box office hit. Now, with Krrish 4 on the way, fans can’t wait to see the next chapter in this iconic superhero saga.
