“Royals Hit Netflix Top 10 Despite Criticism”

Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar’s Netflix show The Royals may be getting trolled for poor reviews and weak storytelling, but that hasn’t stopped it from becoming a huge success on the platform.

Although people on social media have slammed the show for bad chemistry between the leads and a flat story, The Royals has made it to the Top 3 most-watched non-English shows on Netflix worldwide. It beat popular series like Weak Hero and Black Warrant, and is currently ranked right behind Asterix & Obelix: The Big Fight and Eternaut.
In its first week, The Royals gained 3 million views and a total watch time of 17 million hours. The show runs for nearly 6 hours in total.
It’s now at #1 in 7 countries, including:

It also made it to the Top 10 in 43 other countries, such as Brazil, Sri Lanka, Australia, Argentina, and more.
