The Rip To Release On Netflix

The Rip is an upcoming American action thriller movie. It is written and directed by Joe Carnahan. The story was developed by Joe Carnahan along with Michael McGrale.

The movie stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon in lead roles. Other actors in the film include Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Sasha Calle, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Scott Adkins, Kyle Chandler, Néstor Carbonell, and Lina Esco.

The story follows a group of Miami police officers who find millions of dollars in cash. As news of the money spreads, trust among the cops starts to break. They begin to doubt each other and struggle to figure out who they can rely on.

The film was announced in June 2024. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are also producers under their company, Artists Equity. Netflix later bought the rights to release the movie.

Filming began in October 2024 in Los Angeles and later continued in New Jersey. The movie is scheduled to release on Netflix on January 16, 2026. The official teaser was released on September 10, 2025.
