Ahaan & Aneet Weren’t First Choice For ‘Saiyaara’
Mohit Suri’s film Saiyaara, released on July 18, is doing great at the box office. The fresh pair of Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda is getting lots of love from the audience. The film has already earned over ₹247 crore and is expected to cross ₹250 crore soon.
Interestingly, Ahaan and Aneet were not the first choices for the film. At first, the makers had approached Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, inspired by their strong performance in Shershaah. However, things didn’t work out with them.
Later, Aditya Chopra suggested casting new faces. Mohit Suri was unsure about taking such a big risk with newcomers, but Aditya Chopra said he would take the risk himself. This led to Ahaan Pandey and Aneet Padda getting the lead roles.
The film earned ₹21.5 crore on its first day and reached ₹172 crore in its first week. Saiyaara‘s huge success might even impact the performance of upcoming films.
